PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS

Gracious God, Jesus has told us that "the harvest is large, but there are few workers to gather it in. Pray that the harvest master will send out workers to gather it in". Thus we pray to you with confidence in accordance with the desires of His Heart.

Help all Christians to take seriously their responsibility as citizens of the Royal Kingdom and as living stones of the Church.

Choose from among your People apostolic workers; priests, deacons, religious men and women, committed lay people, so that the Good News is proclaimed to all nations and that your mercy is known to all our brothers and sisters. AMEN.

MISSIONARIES OF THE HOLY APOSTLES

MISSION M.S.A.

We carry out our ecclesial mission by:

Establishing centers for the promotion, formation and accompaniment of vocations and collaborating with similar Institutes.
Establishing centers for the proclamation of the Word of God and/or collaborating with them.
Assuming responsibility for poor parishes or collaborating with them.
Working in any other apostolic mission which conforms to our charism.

Our apostolic mission places us at the service of the Church's mission, particularly in regions where there is a lack of priests and apostolic workers to insure the establishment and growth of God's Kingdom. This missionary dimension is an integral part of our vocation in the Society.

THE CHARISM M.S.A.

The Society of the Missionaries of the Holy Apostles is a Society of Apostolic Life with Pontifical Right composed of clerics and brothers participating in the same charism. Fraternal life and mission are its fundamental elements. It is the Holy Spirit who, through the Founder, brought the Society into being within the Church to promote, form and accompany youths and adults in their vocation to the priesthood and to other ministries in the Church. (Constitutions M.S.A., art. 1)
